Roz Carr Imbabazi Legacy
Now that our children are grown and living independently, our focus has turned to the preservation of Roz Carr’s legacy for future generations.
To that end, we have entered into a partnership to facilitate the responsible use of our land and assets to generate economic opportunities within the local community, to include conservational agricultural operations, a variety of eco-tourism packages, and a special events venue.
Our Newest Addition: A Flock of Merino Sheep!
We have entered into an agreement with Handspun Hope to lease five hectares of grazing land for a flock of merino sheep. Handspun Hope employs skilled Rwandan women who practice the age-old craft of spinning yarn from the fleece of these sheep to produce beautiful sweaters, hats, blankets, scarves, and much more, which are sold throughout the world. Handspun Hope is a sustainable artisan brand dedicated to ethical sourcing and minimal environmental impact. To learn more, go to: www.handspunhope.org.
