Come to Imbabazi to learn more about Roz’s life in Rwanda, her gardens, the orphanage and our current projects. Stroll through beautiful English gardens while enjoying a vast variety of colorful flowers and birds. Enjoy beautiful views of Karisimbi, Mikeno and Nyiragongo volcanoes. Hear stories about Dian Fossey and her friendship with Roz. See where scenes from Gorillas in the Mist were filmed. Finally, enjoy tea and cookies in the garden while watching our traditional dance troupe. 18,000Frw or $30 USD per person (2 hours) Maximum capacity 30 people.

Sunday Garden Dances
Honoring Roz’s love of traditional dance and following her tradition of weekly dance performances in the garden, Imbabazi now offers performances by our local dance troupe once a month. Enjoy traditional Intore dancing and cultural performances while sipping tea in the garden. This event occurs on the last Sunday of every month at Imbabazi, starting at 2pm sharp. A tour of the gardens and orphanage to follow. Visitors: 18,000 or $30USD. Residents: Frw 6,000Frw or $10 USD per person. Children under 10 are free. Maximum capacity 30 people. N.B. Visitors are welcome to come early with a picnic lunch to enjoy in the garden or to join us for lunch in Roz’s cottage.

Lunch
Incorporating local ingredients and produce from our farm, we invite visitors to join us for lunch in Roz’s cottage or in the garden (weather permitting). 6,000Frw or $10 USD/per person. This is available every day. Maximum capacity 10 people.

Visits and activities must be booked a minimum of three days in advance. We will do our best to accommodate visitors booking less than three days in advance. However, traditional dance performances cannot be guaranteed.

Directions
Driving from Musanze (Ruhengeri) towards Gisenyi, turn right at the town of Kabali (located between kilometer markers 128 and 129 – a sign for Imbabazi is located at the turn). Continue 7 km up the dirt road. You will see Imbabazi on the right.
