Letter from Roz’s niece

Dear Friends and Supporters,

September 29, 2016 marks the 10th anniversary of the death of our founder and inspiration, Roz Carr.  Thanks to your generous support, we have been able to continue and preserve Roz’s legacy of nurturing and empowering Rwanda’s children and local communities through education, skills training, and income generating opportunities.

The majority of the Imbabazi children are grown now and living independently, many with successful careers and families of their own.  The remaining fourteen children are all in secondary school, some aiming for university.  We are committed to providing each of our children with the best possible education and emotional support as they journey to adulthood.  The next generation of Imbabazi children are our Pre-Schoolers – 66 four and five-year-olds who make up our three Pre-School classes, offering a play-based learning curriculum along with snacks and a hearty meal.

On November 26th, all the Imbabazi children, along with friends and local leaders, will come together to celebrate the 10th Annual Roz Carr Memorial Day, a tribute to the woman who provided them with a loving home and a future full of possibilities.  A graveside service will be followed by singing, dancing and refreshments.

Please help us honor Roz by making a donation to the Imbabazi so that her legacy can live on.

Thank you,

Ann Halsey
