Overview The Board Mission

OVERVIEW

The Imbabazi Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2002 for the purpose of managing and overseeing the operations of the Imbabazi Orphanage in Gisenyi, Rwanda, following the death of founder Rosamond Carr.

The Foundation consists of a board of directors and advisory members from the United States, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom – a diverse and talented group of people with a commitment to a common goal – the continuation of the Imbabazi Orphanage and the fulfillment of Roz Carr’s dream.

The Foundation is dedicated to the health, safety and welfare of the children in its care. Its primary focus is on education, vocational training, and the teaching of life skills to prepare the children for successful adult lives. Equally important is our commitment to the children’s overall quality of life, providing a warm, loving environment and the individual attention and support that every child needs.
